Scientifically Shown to Grow Brain Regions Associated with Movement, Learning, and Cognition

Mohammed, Age 82

Mohammed drastically improved his walking and his short-term memory by over 1000%.

Yamamah was searching for something for her parents as she noticed cognitive and motor declines. Her dad had Parkinson’s and was showing progressive signs of decline. The family flew from the UAE to Columbus, Ohio, so that Mohammed and his wife Suha could attend the 3-week bootcamp.

When Mohammed first arrived, his gait was severely limited—he could not stand upright without assistance, walked slowly while sliding his feet, and relied heavily on visual and verbal cues to initiate movement. His posture was flexed forward, and even short walking sessions required hands-on support. He also experienced significant fatigue, often mentioning how tired he felt multiple times a day at home. His sleep was fragmented as he was waking frequently throughout the night. He had difficulty communicating in English, a language he had learned many years ago but did not seem to recall.

After NeuroAnimation Muhammad Achieved:

Motor Assessments:

  • Timed Up and Go (TUG) score was 14.33 seconds, which was 9.52 seconds faster than his intake score.

  • His Timed Up and Go-Cognitive (TUG-COG) score was 24.81 seconds, which was 5.69 seconds faster than his intake score.

  • His Timed Lap was 41.64 seconds, which was 5.57 seconds faster than his intake score.

  • Cognitive Assessments:

    • 53.87% increase in executive capacity and spatial manipulation

    • 63.85% improvement in impulsivity, speed and accuracy

    • 126.48% increase in attention, speed and accuracy

    • 349.66% increase in working memory

    • 1071.2% increase in executive capacity and short-term memory

Mohammed began standing tall without reminders, taking longer and more controlled strides, and walking at a faster pace. His endurance improved dramatically. What began as 3–5 minutes of walking with assistance grew into 10–15 minutes of independent walking. Mohammed began sleeping through the night, waking only to use the bathroom. This increased energy carried over into therapy, allowing him to participate more actively and consistently.

He began speaking English again and was able to carry on conversations with confidence. Mohammed held coherent conversations and actively asked questions related to the topic at hand. Even when discussions became repetitive, he remained engaged—often showing interest in staff members’ careers and education.

Yamama relayed this to us after going back to the UAE:

“By the way, my dad’s chiropractor saw him last week and his orthopedic surgeon as well. They both said the difference in terms of everything is insane. They couldn’t believe their eyes. The chiropractor said that he thought my dad’ would never be able to move his body on the bed, or adjust himself or even walk properly. Same as the doctor, they both are very happy with the improvements!”
